Aera Video Player (the “App”) is a virtual reality video player. It plays video on a screen rendered in VR space, from files stored on your device or from WebDAV servers that you configure yourself.
This App does not collect, sell, share, or transmit any data about you. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party service that receives data on your behalf.
When using the App you may enter:
Local storage. The information above is stored only in the App’s private storage on your own device. WebDAV addresses, usernames and passwords are stored in plain text in the App’s private preferences. They are not encrypted. Do not enter credentials here that you would not want stored unencrypted on your device.
Network access. The App contacts only the WebDAV servers that you add. When you browse a server, the App sends your username and password to that server. WebDAV commonly runs over plain HTTP rather than HTTPS, so credentials and media travel unencrypted between your device and your own server; enable TLS on your server if you want an encrypted link.
The App contains no other network endpoint and does not contact any server owned by the developer.
The App needs media storage access so you can play local video files. That permission is granted by the operating system and explained by the system prompt it displays. Demo footage bundled inside the App is copied to the App’s own private directory on first launch and never leaves your device.
The App creates no device backup. All installed data is held in the App’s private storage and is removed when you uninstall the App.
This App is not directed to children under 13 years of age. The App does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.
If this policy changes, the date above and the App’s store listing are updated.
